Who can apply for assistance? Any family, who has a minor child (18 and under) who has a child with any level of hearing loss.
What type of assistance can we provide? Our goal is to provide financial assistance to help families with specific hearing loss related bills, hearing devices or equipment need, access to American Sign Language courses and other hearing loss related needs specified within the application as deemed necessary by the applicant. Besides monetary donations, Team Kenna can also provide assistance in terms of gas cards, hotel stays and other needs family may face.
How much assistance do we provide? A grant may not exceed a maximum of $1,000 per child, per household.
How often can assistance be received? A family can only receive assistance one time every three years per child based upon the award date, not application date. This will allow Team Kenna the opportunity to assist as many families that we can!
How are applicants chosen? Team Kenna's Executive Board makes approval decisions based upon the need of each family by reviewing the application and verification of referrals. All applications must receive at least a three out of five vote to be determined approved by the Board.
Team Kenna grants are contingent on the availability of funds.
